It's easy to fall into the trap of drinking to excess in Spain!
Alcohol seems to take on a different meaning for some Brits in Spain, drinks are so much cheaper and accessible, especially if you happen to own a bar too. We have seen it so many times where the business is quiet and the owner gradually starts drinking to excess which leads to a downward slope, and before you know it he's out of business.
And, it's not just the bar owners, most socialising in Spain is done in the bars and restaurants which obviously involves drinking alcohol, maybe some of us are stuck in that holiday mode, but it's no holiday when you become an alcoholic. Everything in moderation is the best plan.
