Santiago de Compostela
One of the most beautiful cities in Spain, with its Romanesque cathedral and impressive Baroque façade, is the centre of life in Santiago.

The cathedral stands where what is believed to be the burial place of the apostle St. James and looks down on to Obradoiro Square and the sculptures of the Pórtico de la Gloria.

Many people still follow the medieval pilgrimage routes from France right across northern Spain to visit the cathedral.
