Puente Don Manuel in the Axarquia

The village of Puente don Manuel is on crossroads with roads leading from the coast and Velez-Malaga to Alcaucin, Zaffaraya, Periana and the Province of Granada.

For centuries travellers have stopped here on their way to different destinations in the Axarquia region and beyond, and indeed it is still a meeting point.

Being close to Lake Vinuela, in recent years Puente don Manuel has become an extremely popular place in which to live.

Urbanisations, villas and local ammenities have sprung up all around to accommodate this growing community.

On Tuesdaya there is a Farmers market and there's even a fish and chip shop if you are missing a taste of home.
